FAQs

George's approach to physio

My approach is centred around getting to know you. I base my practice around understanding your pain or discomfort and the goals you would like to achieve through physiotherapy. Each session will be designed to provide pain relief and increase in function whether that’s through soft tissue mobilisation, Maitland mobilisations, joint manipulations and/or specific exercise led rehabilitation. I always aim to develop your understanding of the condition you present with to ensure you do not leave the room with more questions than answers.
Outside of the clinic......
Outside the clinic I enjoy long distance running and playing hockey. Watching football is another great passion of mine although I will leave out who I support in fear of putting people off before the first session! As with any physio, I am a lover of anything sport.
I always wanted a job that worked closely with people in a healthcare setting. Physiotherapy combines this with my love of exercise and movement and I enjoy being able to utilise skill, passion and job satisfaction in my daily life.

Having worked in New Zealand for a physiotherapy practice that specialised in back pain, I have developed a strong interest in treating back pain. Back pain comes with a variety of presentations and I enjoy working with everyone, whether it’s a sudden episode of pain, a longer term issue or anything in between.

A lover of all things running and hockey, I also enjoy treating lower limb sports injuries, especially those related to running.Â
